ACCOMMODATION

There are holiday homes/Air BnBs in Lowick Green and Spark Bridge which would be walkable to/home from the Reception.

You could also look at staying in Greenodd but don’t try to walk home - the road’s busy and there are no pavements/street lights.

Ulverston is the nearest town. There are more holiday rentals, and there is a Premier Inn,

If you have plenty of thermals and waterproofs, it is also possible to camp at the Farmers Arms, which, if you are brave enough, you can organise directly with them.

A DRIVE AWAY

For hotels/accommodation further afield, it might be a good idea to consider how strong your stomach is on windy roads, especially if you’ve had a drink and are in the back of a taxi!

If you are sturdy-stomached, or willing to sacrifice your dinner to be nearer the lakes and mountains, you could stay up in Coniston/Ambleside/Hawkshead.

To reduce country lane exposure, you might be better off staying somewhere off the A590.
