This will likely be from the Farmers Arms over a hill to another pub. The route we’re thinking is an easy meander that we enjoy doing on the first day we arrive in the Lakes. It helps to shake the long car journey off and warm up for more challenging hikes. We’d also like some of you to meet each other before the big day.

If you’re travelling on this day, or want to get a more strenuous walk under your belt, you could also meet us afterwards in the Farmers Arms for a drink and probably a pizza.

Coniston is the nearest lake to the Farmers Arms and it has a few great spots to swim. We will probably head to Brown Howe where there is a car park and some road parking too.

(and wish Amy Luscombe a HAPPY BIRTHDAY)
